Sometimes I feel a bit like the character in Mark Twain's classic "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arther's Court" who was magically transported in time to sixth century England. As you might remember from Twain's story, Hank Morgan was hit over the head only to wake and find himself in the court of the legendary King Arther, complete with daring knights battling fierce dragons and rescuing fair damsels in distress. I too was hit over the head, metaphorically speaking, but when I awoke I discovered that I am being sued in the modern day court of Queen Elizabeth II and I AM the damsel in distress!
So then, this is the story of a Yank in Camelot, or more precisely, California Yankee in Her Majestie's Court.
